Ayuda has been helping low income immigrants in the Washington metropolitan region access justice, stop abuses, find safety, heal from trauma, overcome language isolation, and restore and rebuild their lives, for 46 years.

With the support of many, Ayuda has helped more than 100,000 immigrants and their families address obstacles to thriving and succeeding in the United States. Ayuda is a pioneer in providing holistic culturally and linguistically appropriate legal, social, language access and other groundbreaking programs to meet the emerging needs of immigrants in the community.

We fight for what is right and just. Ayuda has gaps in resources but we will always find ways to be resilient. Because of the support of our donors, our doors are always open. Our staff size may be small but all are experts in their fields and live Ayuda’s mission in their hearts. Our immigrant clients may have limited incomes and language skills but they have unyielding desire to do better for themselves and their families, to share their heritage with joy and pride, and to give of themselves as members of our communities. Ayuda stands with them.

Standing with Immigrants is all about supporting immigrants with their dreams, desires, fortitude, and perseverance to have a share of the American dream. This event marks the beginning of a new era of strategic growth – taking us to our half-century milestone with a solemn promise that we will always be there for immigrants, and ask you to join us.
