Ayuda to Expand Domestic Violence Work
December 1, 2009Ayuda is thrilled to announce that a new two-year grant from the Department of Justice will help us address the needs of immigrant survivors of domestic violence in Northern Virginia for the first time. We will be able to reach hundreds of additional victims, providing them with the resources and support they need to establish secure, violence-free lives. In the past, Ayuda has only been able to provide comprehensive domestic violence and sexual assault services at our DC office. Yet, roughly 15% of the clients referred to our Sterling, VA office come directly from a battered women's shelter.
